Course Aims
The Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) is industry-recognised and is ideal for individuals and companies who need to meet the ever-increasing demand for evidence of sound health and safety management on site. The Site Manager is often in direct control of the construction site and therefore has an integral role to play in the day to day running and safety of all aspects of the site. This also places legal obligations on them, which if not complied with and something goes wrong, can lead to personal prosecution leading to fines and imprisonment if they are found at fault. The SMSTS course includes the Construction Skills publication Construction Site Safety – Health, Safety and Environmental Information Manual (GE700).
The SMSTS course will give you an understanding of your key responsibilities and accountability for site safety, health, welfare and the environment, to enable you to provide healthy and safe working conditions for everyone on site.
